The Secretary of the Libyan general people's committee for external relations and international cooperation, Abderrahmane Chalgham, discussed Thursday in Tripoli with the senior Togolese minister, minister of foreign affairs and African integration, Zarifou Ayeva, about preparations of the ordinary summit of the African Union (AU) slated for July in Ghana.
This summit will have as the only item on its agenda the question of the United States of Africa and the formation of a continental government.According to one Libyan official source, the two leaders agreed to coordinate the positions of their two countries on that issue.
They also reviewed bilateral cooperation prospects between Lome and Tripoli and the means to promote and consolidate it in the different fields.
