The third edition of the international African music festival, dubbed "Africarythmes", will begin 5 August in the Togolese capital, Lome, with several artists from the continent, including Lokoua Kanza from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The four-day event will highlight African rhythms, including Togolese music, which is in search of greater international acceptability.
As part of the festival, hip hop bands such as Ardiess from Benin, Antoinette Allani from Cote d'Ivoire, La Fuente from Gabon and the Black Diamands from Senegal , as well as Lokoua Kanza, will perform in a big concert to be held 7 August.
In addition to shows, the event will feature music initiation workshops for young musicians, as well as two conferences on the themes "Living Music" and "Music, Plastic Arts and Design."
