The leader of burkinabé diplomacy, Djibril Bassolé (photo) who is leading a ministerial delegation of ECOWAS states was received on tuesday by President Faure Gnassingbé.
The talks focused on the necessity of appealing to the UNSC ( Togo being a member-state of the executive body) so as to pass a resolution on the situation in northern Mali which fell in the hands of Touaregs and their islamist allies.
At the end of the meeting Mr. Bassolé declared " Together with the President of Togo, we have discussed the modalities of a UNSC resolution that would give ECOWAS the means to end this crisis".
