Parliamentary elections in Togo will be held 14 Oct., according to a presidential decree adopted at Thursday's cabinet meeting here.
Under the decree, campaign for the elections will open 29 Sept. and end 12 Oct.Another presidential decree has dissolved the National Assembly ahead of the polls.
The early parliamentary elections will enable Togo to renew the tenure of the National Assembly's 81 MPs, who took office nearly five years ago.
